Cycle Counting: The Rest of The Story

Tuesday June 22, 2010

Presented by: Rick Leach

The presentation objective is to show that the cycle count is not just an another exercise in counting, but a sophisticated Managerial Approach to Inventory Accuracy with it's inherent checks and balances.

The presentation will demonstrate some real and practical applications for cycle counts, major savings that firms have been able to experience, justifications for converting from annual physical inventories to cycle counting. Mr. Leach will also go through the process of setting up and running a cycle system, how to improve cycle count accuracy, and the pitfalls encountered when starting up.

The presentation will also feature the primary reason for cycle counting: Error detection and correction.
